The pupil premium is funding allocated to schools for the specific purpose of boosting the attainment of pupils from low-income families. Funding is based on children registered for a free school meal and children that have been in care for more than six months.
The aim of the Pupil Premium funding, which is additional to main school funding, is allocated to help address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) and their wealthier peers by ensuring that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most. Whilst schools are free to spend the Pupil Premium as they see fit, we are required to publish online information about how we have used the Premium.

Parent View gives you the chance to tell Ofsted what you think about your child’s school. Parent View asks for your opinion on 12 aspects of your child’s school, from the quality of teaching, to dealing with bullying and poor behaviour. If your child is at a boarding or a residential special school, it also asks for your opinion on five aspects of your child’s boarding or welfare. We will use the information you provide when making decisions about which schools to inspect, and when.
When inspecting education in independent schools, we recommend when inspection should take place but inspect at the request of the DfE.
By sharing your views, you’ll be helping your child’s school to improve. You will also be able to see what other parents have said about your child’s school.

The 1590 Trust Bader Primary School Scheme of Delegation
The 1590 Trust established a school advisory board in September 2017. This will be operate instead of a local governing body, until the Trust is satisfied a local governing body can take back the full running of the school.
The Bader School Advisory Board will meet at least termly and will:
It is the intent of the Trust to seek to promptly build up capacity and address any issues within an individual school, operating under an advisory school council, so as to enable that school to move to a local governing body, with delegated powers, over a period of time.

Approved Remits and Roles within The 1590 Trust
Governors must declare any relevant business interests as well as the details of any other educational establishments they govern. The register must also set out any relationships between governors and members of the schools staff including spouses, partners and relatives. It is important to address any perception of a conflict of interests by making clear where such potential personal or pecuniary interests might apply; this might be a conflict between personal interests and the interests of the school or the Council when dealing with outside organisations or individuals.
Note 1. Pecuniary interest includes current employment, businesses (of which partner/proprietor), company directorship, charity trusteeship and other conflict.
Note 2. Personal Interests can also include business involvement/company directorship or trusteeships or family or close connections to the governor (for example a company the school might have contracts with).
Examples (potential conflicts):
The register of governor interests must also include details of attendance record at the governing body meetings and committees over the year and reviewed and updated on an annual basis indicating also when a governor steps down.
Associate governors must be included on the register and it should be clear when they have voting rights.
The school is required to maintain a similar register of staff interests that should also be reviewed annually – as specified in the NCC code of conduct. Staff had previously been included with the governor’s declarations but in light of the governing body register of interests being required to be published on the school web site, a separate register should be drawn up. Staff governors will need to be included on both registers.

As a school, we need to collect, store and use data about you, your family and your child. The data we collect, use and share allows us to operate in the public interest as a school. Without this, school improvement and the supporting, educating and safeguarding of your child would not be possible. We collect and hold personal information relating to our pupils and may also receive information about them from their previous school, local authority and/or the Department for Education (DfE).
A. The categories of pupil information that we collect, hold and share include:
B. Why we collect and use this information
The primary use of data is to support your child throughout their education from both personal and academic perspectives and to provide rich learning experiences. We will also use data for internal analysis and, local and national statistical performance measures required by the Department of Education.
We use pupil data primarily to:-
support pupil learning, mentoring, intervention, and overall academic performance.
We collect and use pupil information under Article 6, and Article 9 where data processed is ‘special category data’ from the GDPR-from 25 May 2018, and for data collection purposes under the Education Act 1996 https://www.gov.uk/education/data-collection-and-censuses-for-schools.
In some specific circumstances direct consent will be required and sought from parents for systems or processes which enhance the school’s offer such as:
We collect and use pupil information under:
Whilst the majority of pupil information you provide to us is mandatory, some of it is provided to us on a voluntary basis. In order to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation, we will inform you whether you are required to provide certain pupil information to us or if you have a choice in this.
We hold pupil data for a maximum of 15 years within the school’s management information system. Additional digital systems have a specific retention policy, as outlined in the document: GDPR – IT Systems - Data Processing Summary accessible via the school website.
We routinely share relevant and specific pupil information with:
We are required, by law, to pass certain information about our pupils to our local authority (LA) and the Department for Education (DfE).
The DfE may also share pupil level personal data that we supply to them, with third parties. This will only take place where legislation allows it to do so and it is in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations and Data Protection Act.
Decisions on whether the DfE releases this personal data to third parties are subject to a robust approval process and are based on a detailed assessment of who is requesting the data, the purpose for which it is required, the level and sensitivity of data requested and the arrangements in place to store and handle the data. To be granted access to pupil level data, requestors must comply with strict terms and conditions covering the confidentiality and handling of data, security arrangements and retention and use of the data.
Pupil data may be shared with relevant parties within the Mutli-Academy Trust for all reasons outlined in section 1B of this privacy notice.
We do not share information about our pupils with anyone without consent unless the law and our policies allow us to do so. Systems which access basic pupil level data in school are required to access hosted school services (e.g. network, email, learning platform etc.)
We share pupils’ data with the Department for Education (DfE) on a statutory basis. This data sharing underpins school funding and educational attainment policy and monitoring.
We are required to share information about our pupils with the (DfE) under regulation 5 of The Education (Information About Individual Pupils) (England) Regulations 2013.
To find out more about the data collection requirements placed on us by the Department for Education (for example; via the school census) go to https://www.gov.uk/education/data-collection-and-censuses-for-schools.
The NPD is owned and managed by the Department for Education and contains information about pupils in schools in England. It provides invaluable evidence on educational performance to inform independent research, as well as studies commissioned by the Department. It is held in electronic format for statistical purposes. This information is securely collected from a range of sources including schools, local authorities and awarding bodies.
We are required by law, to provide information about our pupils to the DfE as part of statutory data collections such as the school census and early years’ census. Some of this information is then stored in the NPD. The law that allows this is the Education (Information About Individual Pupils) (England) Regulations 2013.
To find out more about the NPD, go to https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/national-pupil-database-user-guide-and-supporting-information.
The department may share information about our pupils from the NPD with third parties who promote the education or well-being of children in England by:
The Department has robust processes in place to ensure the confidentiality of our data is maintained and there are stringent controls in place regarding access and use of the data. Decisions on whether DfE releases data to third parties are subject to a strict approval process and based on a detailed assessment of:
To be granted access to pupil information, organisations must comply with strict terms and conditions covering the confidentiality and handling of the data, security arrangements and retention and use of the data.
